Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman shared a photo of himself with legendary surgeon Dr. James Andrews after a procedure to repair the torn left ACL that Stroman suffered in fielding practice this spring.
Stroman will miss the entire 2015 season, but he still looks pretty upbeat. Andrews… does not:

Here’s young, hopeful, happy Marcus Stroman, still at the outset of a career throwing baseballs, facing this big setback with bright-eyed enthusiasm.
And here’s Andrews, who knows too well what a career throwing baseballs can do to a young man, trying his best to project a brave face for Stroman but incapable of hiding the sadness that comes from meeting so many of the world’s brightest young pitchers right after they’re struck down by pitching.
